In 1991, when KVTC was initiated, there were no vocational training centres for intellectually challenged people. Since then, a number of other ventures have started that offer vocational training but until recently, these programs are designed with no real goal in sight.

After completing their rehabilitation program, KVTC works towards finding suitable employment for the trainees. These jobs are in the actual market place i.e. in a real-world environment such as banks, shops, schools, other office jobs, or any other form of decent employment with almost the same remuneration packages as any other citizen of Karachi (so far, our financial constraints restrict us from extending our core activities beyond Karachi). Over 400 graduated trainees have found gainful employment through our services & many have started their own families, leading happy, content, & independent lives. Every year, 15-20 graduated trainees are placed on decent employment through KVTC’s Services.
