Brief History of KVTC

First batch of ​
trainees = 12. ​
KVTC placed 4 of these trainees on jobs in the 1st year of its inception

Moved to present location in 1994

Originally strictly limited the admission age to 13 and above, the first Young Group classes began in 1993​

Finally, in May 2003, The

Al-Rahman Training Hostel was initiated

In 2002, thanks to DHA, KVTC extended the original building raising our capacity to 140 students

Total Students admitted since inception: 4000

In August 1991, Dr.Inam-ur-Rahman Khan, a consultant psychiatrist with 14 years of work experience in the UK, & his wife, Mrs.Robina Inam, a UK trained Vocational Therapist, established the Karachi Vocational Training Centre for Mentally Handicapped Youth & Adults (KVTC) with the help of other doctors, philanthropists, & care-givers.



KVTC has the most comprehensive & goal-oriented rehabilitation program for people with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in Pakistan ensuring gainful employment
