KVTC, a rehabilitation centre for Intellectually Challenged (IC) children, teens, & adults, is the first of its kind in Pakistan & the first to introduce IEP & IVP based curricula for Special Needs (SEN) children to ensure their proper care, development, and successful

social inclusion.

KVTC focuses on Special Needs people ranging from People with Learning Difficulties (LD) e.g. Dyslexia, Dyscalculia, & ADHD, to Mental Retardation (or Intellectually Disabled) in Karachi although some of our trainees have multiple disabilities. Over the past 20 years, we have proved their proficiency as productive & contributing members of society and a valuable source of labour both in office & field/factory work.

Whom do we serve?

We have 142 trainees enrolled at the centre, and 20 in home-based programs. Our trainees & staff come from all over Karachi, including areas where there’s limited public transport available. Each trainee benefits from our services equally regardless of whether the parents/guardians are able to contribute towards the cost of their rehabilitation.

Additionally, there 1200 patients in Gilgilt-Baltistan Province & adjoining areas under KVTC’s treatment, while over 2000 are being cared for by 5 General Physicians on our panel, whom we are regularly training & educating since the program began in 1993

“We believe that disabled people are differently able.”
